Masedi a Botswana Association will adopt Bokamoso CJSS as from the beginning of
2nd term in May 2013, whereby we will visit the school fortnightly. The Association’s motive to
pursue this mission is driven by the thought of reviving the Vision 2016 Pillar 1: ‘An Educated,
Informed Nation’ as well as positively contributing to enhancing the academic performance of
the school.
Masedi a Botswana Association is a youth led organization and it is currently made up of mostly
influential and competent tertiary students who are well sorted to be the students’ peer educators.
We would like to collaborate in the area of training as we desire to be involved in the school’s
leadership program whereby we shall be opportune to empower the students through mentorship.
We intend to work with completing business students for atleast 2 hours a week, as the initiative
is to endow in them entrepreneurial skills through professional development seminars executed
through power point presentations, one on one sessions, group workshops, motivational talks and
personal development portfolios. The aim is to infuse the willingness by them to be hardworking and determined in their learning.
The members of Masedi a Botswana Association are going to do this through the provision of
emotional intelligence and transferrable skills. There will be debate sessions on issues making
headlines around the world as the aim is to encourage awareness on matters affecting the world
population and improve their communication and foster confidence; motivational talks where
students will be requested to fully participate in; and issuing of assignments and research on
classroom topics. The students will be given the opportunity to give feedback to their peers,
which will elevate and foster their critical skills.
We would like to encourage Tertiary School students from various fields of studies who are interested in volunteering their time to mentor these students to contact us . Let us come together to build a generation that is zealous to develop their country through entrepreneurship.
