BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Masedi a Botswana Association is a youth led NGO founded in February 2012 and officially
registered in October 2012. Like the Association name suggests in English translation, it was
created to brighten up the lives of vulnerable Botswana residents through voluntarism.
Masedi a Botswana Association is currently involved  youth between the ages of 16-35
however we do not have any age restrictions in terms of our membership. At Masedi a Botswana
Association we aim to promote voluntarism as we believe it can significantly influence
our nation’s development especially that there is need everywhere; if we all looked closely then
we can spot it and collectively work towards alleviating it.


MISSION STATEMENT
Masedi a Botswana Association is designed to instill the spirit of voluntarism in Botswana,
mentor volunteers and outsource them to various organizations.

OBJECTIVES
- To stimulate and encourage a spirit if compassion for others through voluntary work in
various societal settings such as education, health, security, sports and culture.
- To collaborate with other existing charity organizations with a mission of forwarding
benefits to the nation through periodic partnerships and alliances, in order to achieve the
national pillars of Vision 2016.
- To implement the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) by upholding and instilling
them in our members and any new recruits.

OUR VALUES

  • UNITY AND TEAM WORK; these facilitate us to work effectively and accomplish goals in a synergistic manner in order to achieve our goals.
  •  PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT; we ensure mutual benefits for our members and partners through provision of success coaching and mentoring, also through inspirational and motivational talks by our fellow peers and special guests with influential testimonies.
  •  CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION; we create and nurture an atmosphere of community projects initiation in all members of the association and we mold their ability to recognize a need when it arises in our community through daunting ignorance.
  • COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT; we believe that there is an important need for growth and development in all communities. Thus we ensure this through community empowerment outreaches that emphasizes on sustainable development ensuring continuous cultural pride, brotherhood, loyalty and benevolence are uplifted.
The organization is committed to meet the needs of the community by providing the following services, hence covering the seven pillars of vision 2016 and the Millennium Development Goals in the following ways;
